Pelican Bay Tour
This tour is a driving one. 16 Gators to be seen. |
Begin at the AmSouth Bank Building, 4851 Tamiami Trail North (US 41). The building is south of Pine Ridge Road and on the West side of the street. You will find 2 gators here.
A Day at the Pier - AmSouth Bank, 4851 Tamiami Trail North
Eric Gator - AmSouth Bank, 4851 Tamiami Train North
Leave AmSouth building and go north to Pine Ridge Road/Seagate Drive. Turn West onto Seagate Drive. You will find Celestial Gator at the US Trust Building, 765 Seagate Drive.
Leave US Trust Building and head West to Seagate School, 650 Seagate Drive to see Seagator.
Leave Seagate School and head back East to West Blvd. It is only a short distance to West Blvd.
Turn North on West Blvd to Pelican Bay Blvd.
Turn Right on Pelican Bay and go a short distance to Ridgewood.
Turn Right on Ridgewood and go to the Sun Trust entrance from Ridgewood. (Ridgewood and Laurel Oaks meet but you don't have to go to Laurel Oaks to enter.) You will see professional buildings at 801 Laurel Oak Blvd. The Seminole Gator is among them.
You may leave either by Laurel Oak Blvd to Ridgewood to Pelican Bay Blvd or going through the parking lot to Ridgewood to Pelican Bay. Turn Left on Pelican Bay Blvd. This is another short distance. There is a bit of a drive to Waterpark at Pelican Bay. The gators are on the left side of the road. There is no parking available so you will have to pull over onto the grass to stop. You will find the following gators at this stop.
Continue on with your drive on Pelican Bay Blvd to Bay Colony Entrance. This is a bit of a drive. You will find the gators on the corners of the gated entrance to Bay Colony. The gators are on 2 corners. Again there is no parking so you will have to pull over onto the grass to see the gators. You will find

Leave Bay Colony and continue on Pelican Bay Blvd to 8889 Pelican Bay Blvd. 8889 is Professional Buildings, they sit on US 41 so you will have to turn into the parking lot of the building before getting to US 41. It also is on the left side of the street. You will find the following gators.
